Happy Valentine's Day 2026

Happy Valentine's Day 2026

Cupid has twang'd his bow, and what better depiction for undying love than..a baby...in the clouds...with a bow and arrow? Sure, I'll have what he's having.

I've never been much for Valentine's Day, but I think a lot of that is one of those, self-exclusionary things. Like, I've always told boyfriends in the past that Valentine's Day isn't important to me, because that way, when they don't do anything for me, it's not a let-down. Expectation management, especially in the case of managing the incredibly low expectations of these particular exes.

I try to tell the people in my life that I love them, all the time - sometimes it takes different forms, like worrying about people, buying them things, or asking about their days. I've learned so much about different ways that express love (not the debunked 'love languages'), but one of the shortcuts me and some of those closest to me is identifying when we are trying to show love for each other, and demanding, 'let me love you!'

You may have noticed that I sign off my newsetters and emails with an 'I love you', which is a wholly too intimate way to refer to strangers on the internet. But why? If people can hate over the internet for no reason, I can love over the internet for no reason. I read that somewhere, I think either in You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero, or The Way of Integrity by Martha Beck - both fantastic books that have shaped me as a person.

There's no real point to this blog post, I suppose, other than having more words on the website, which Google loves - (for those asking How Does Blogging Help SEO), as well as sharing some insights into the wildness that is Bee, in line with my value of being authentic, I guess that comes with some oversharing. Plus adding more innerlinks to reinforce my keyword strategy (learn why in my innerlinks explainer).

So, Valentines is here. Buy me a Valentine's Day Greeting Card and make my day!

I love you
