I've been collecting happy reviews from my clients ever since I started. The reason for this is many-fold:
🎺 Adding more content to my website
🎺 Adding content to social media
🎺 Bringing in more sales
🎺 Scaring away the freelancer scaries
The most important one of them, for me, is the last one. As a self-employed person, I am constantly worried that this will all just stop one day. All my existing clients will close their contracts, I will be unable to sign new ones, I will run out of money and die alone. No, YOU'RE being dramatic.
So, it started out as just saving screenshots of nice things that clients emailed or messaged me when we worked together, that I could look at to quell my imposter syndrome. This was especially important in the beginning year, when I was still figuring out my pricing, my offer, my value. I'm pretty sure it was recommended by my life coach at the time (Adina Kroll, who is a gem).
Now, I'm constantly requesting client reviews, and have gathered a pretty great collections of nice things said about me, which you can have a squiz at on my client reviews page.
Today, I recommend you to reach out to one of your customers and get a review for your own products or services. Bonus points for if they leave you a 5 star review on Faire, which will massively contribute to your Faire SEO!
I love youÂ
